About Semester, Year-Long, and January Study Abroad

«Ƶ;Verne students may study on six continents for a semester or a year. Through La Verne-affiliated programs, students’ options include  traditional places like England, France, and Japan, or unique spots like Jordan, Ghana, and India. To study abroad for a semester, a year, or in January, a student must be at least a sophomore and possess a GPA of 2.75 or above. Foreign language proficiency is required in some countries, but study in many countries is in English. Included in the cost of study abroad are room and tuition, as well as orientation sessions and local and regional visits to historical and cultural sites. Most programs also include meals. Programs have a director on site to provide support. Courses taken through a La Verne-affiliated program are transferable for major, minor, and/or elective classes.
